Although we have taken responsible steps to provide you with appropriate safety equipment, instructions, and knowledgeable supervisors so you can enjoy an activity for which you may not be skilled, we wish to remind you this activity is not without risk. The elements that contribute to the unique character of the activity can result because of loss to equipment, or physical\/emotional injury or damage to yourself, to property, or \/ to the third party. It is important for you to be informed in advance what to expect of the inherent risks.<\/span><\/p>\n

You must be of the age of <\/b>19 years<\/b> or older to be legal to sign this waiver.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Please read carefully!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

I hereby, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, assigns or personal representatives, knowingly and voluntarily enter into this waiver and release of liability and hereby waive any and all rights, claims or causes of action of any kind whatsoever arising out of my participation in this activity, and do hereby release and forever discharge Gobo Enterprises Inc., their affiliates, managers, members, agents, attorneys, staff, volunteers, heirs, representatives, predecessors, successors and assigns, for any physical or psychological injury, including but not limited to: PHYSICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL INJURY, PAIN, SUFFERING, TEMPORARY OR PERMANENT DISABILITY, ECONOMIC OR EMOTIONAL LOSS, AND DEATH. I UNDERSTAND THAT THESE INJURIES OR OUTCOMES MAY ARISE FROM MY OWN OR OTHERS\u2019 NEGLIGENCE OR THE CONDITION OF THE ACTIVITY LOCATION(S). NONETHELESS, I ASSUME ALL RELATED RISKS, BOTH KNOWN AND UNKNOWN TO ME, OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS ACTIVITY.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Consult a doctor before participating in the Activity at Gobo VR if<\/b>:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You have any medical condition or issue that affects your ability to perform physical activities safely;<\/span><\/p>\n

      \n
    1. \u00a0You are or may be pregnant;<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. \u00a0You have heart, respiratory, back, joint, or other orthopedic conditions;<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. \u00a0You have high blood pressure;<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. \u00a0You have difficulty with physical exercise;<\/span><\/li>\n
    5. \u00a0You have been instructed to restrict physical activity;<\/span><\/li>\n
    6. \u00a0You have tendonitis or carpal tunnel; or<\/span><\/li>\n
    7. \u00a0You have been diagnosed with an anxiety disorder or post-traumatic stress disorder.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Do not participate in the activity if you have implanted medical devices.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The VR headsets and controllers can emit radio waves that can affect the operation of nearby electronics, including cardiac pacemakers. The use of VR headsets with implanted medical devices may result in injury or other serious medical consequences.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      <\/h3>\n

      Do not participate in the Activity if you have a history of Photosensitive Seizures.<\/b><\/span> Like other products that produce visual effects (including light flashes), VR headsets may trigger epileptic seizures, seizures, fainting, or severe dizziness. If you have a previous history of epilepsy or seizures, loss of awareness, or other symptoms linked to an epileptic condition, consult your doctor before using the product. To reduce the likelihood of a seizure, do not use the product if you are tired or need sleep. Please be aware that even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that may cause photosensitive epileptic seizures while interacting with VR headsets.
      \n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Do not participate in the activity if you are sick, fatigued, under the influence of<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      alcohol\/drugs<\/span><\/strong>, or are not feeling generally well, as it may exacerbate your condition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Do not participate in the activity if you have anxiety concerns or significant fears<\/span><\/strong>. The activity includes situations that may cause anxiety in users who have fears relating to the situations presented in the VR environment. Phobias that may be triggered by the activity include fears of heights, fish or being underwater, monsters, fire, and robots. If you have any concerns regarding the subjects of the activity, please discuss this issue with our staff.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      The use of virtual reality headsets with any of the above conditions may cause injury or result in other serious medical consequences.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      While wearing the Vive headset, you are blind to the world around you.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0The image displayed in the headset will not match the real world. Always use the product in a clear and safe area. Do not rely on the chaperone system for protection.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Be aware of your surroundings, including the cables,\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>during the activity.<\/strong>\u00a0Before starting the demonstration, look in all directions and identify any potential obstacles. Keep in mind the location of the cable running from the VR headset so that you are not likely to trip over or accidentally pull on them while moving around or walking around the area. Move your feet slowly and carefully to avoid tripping on items, including the cord. Make sure to maintain good footing. Be careful during the demonstration to avoid running into walls or other obstacles. Tripping over the cable or contacting obstacles could cause injury or damage.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

      Stop and rest if your muscles, joints, or eyes become tired or sore.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

      Physical and Psychological Effects.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Content viewed using Vive can be intense, immersive, and appear very life-like and may cause your brain and body to react accordingly. Certain types of content (e.g., violent, scary, emotional, or adrenaline-based content) could trigger increased heart rate, spikes in blood pressure, panic attacks, anxiety, PTSD, fainting, and other adverse effects. If you have a history of negative physical or psychological reactions to certain real-life circumstances, avoid using Vive to view similar content. Similarly, it is essential to remember that simulated objects, such as furniture that may be encountered while using the product, do not exist in the real world. Thus, the injuries may result when interacting with those simulated objects as if they were real, for example, by attempting to sit down on a virtual chair.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Hearing Loss<\/span><\/strong>. Do not use the earphones with Vive at a high volume for prolonged periods of time, or permanent hearing loss may occur.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Avoid Overuse.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Prolonged, uninterrupted use of Vive should be avoided. It may negatively impact hand-eye coordination, balance, or cause other negative effects. If using Vive frequently or for prolonged periods, you may experience tiredness or soreness in your muscles, joints, or other body parts. Take regular breaks from using Vive. The length and frequency of necessary breaks may vary from person to person.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

      Stop using Vive and consult your doctor if you experience any of the following symptoms<\/span><\/strong>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • A<\/span><\/strong>. Seizures, loss of awareness, convulsions, involuntary movements, dizziness, disorientation, nausea, lightheadedness, drowsiness, or fatigue;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • B.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0Eye pain or discomfort, eyestrain, eye twitching, or vision abnormalities (such as altered, blurred, or double vision);<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • C<\/span><\/strong>. Excessive sweating increased salivation, impaired sense of balance, impaired hand-eye coordination, or other symptoms similar to motion sickness.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n
      • D<\/span><\/strong>. Until fully recovered from these symptoms, do not drive, operate machinery, or take part in activities that may have potentially serious consequences.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Take Care of the Vive Hand Controllers.<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0While using the Vive hand controllers, always check that you have sufficient overhead and surrounding clearance to allow you to extend your arms outward and upwards fully. Hitting persons or objects may cause injury or damage. Hold the Vive hand controllers firmly and always use the wrist straps. If released while using, the controller may cause injury or damage.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

        Repetitive Stress Injuries. Operate Vive in a comfortable posture. Do not grip hand controllers too tightly and press the buttons lightly. If you have tingling, numbness, stiffness, throbbing, or other discomforts, immediately stop using Vive and consult your doctor.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Do not attempt to adjust, repair, modify, or open any part of Vive. Vive components involving lasers will be set up and handled by the people coordinating the demonstration. Improper handling may result in eye injury.<\/span><\/p>\n

        I understand that Gobo VR employees seek to create a safe environment, but they are not infallible. They might be unaware of my health problems or abilities. Based on this, they may give incomplete warnings or instructions, and the equipment being used might malfunction. It is my responsibility to warn Gobo VR of any medical conditions I presume might affect me during VR activity.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
